Montreal
We arrived safely, after an early departure.
Saint John was great - Chris has a good thing starting there. All the maritimer cliches hold true - welcoming, friendly, glad to have you - but when you touring experimental performance, these things feel all the more rare.
Tomorrow we play at Cafe Esperanza - which I briefly scouted - small and crowded - I think it could be fun. We're getting better (twice now) at figuring how to fit ourselves somewhere.
this may involve more standing - or at least stools.
Will get more Saint John pictures up tomorrow.

First Show
went well - performing not in our home (Hub 14) is different - we need to add a curtain call, the space is large and white and 2001-like with reverb of it's own.
Afternoon show then an almost sold out show tonight.

Sign in the Van
"This Is It" sign in the back of our own space ship
Visiting Dustin
Our friend Dustin holding the sign in Edmunston.
imac_gas_web
Getting Dustins phone number at a gas station somewhere in Quebec.
We are on tour
That much is clear.
after 22 hours straight on the road we are in Halifax - tired but in one piece. I am going to try an figure how to up load photo's - though haven't yet slept so will do that first. Everyone else is off exploring and or watching movies. I am going to nap. I've seen the city recently.
Trip highlights: driving tour/losting of Quebec City. Visiting with Dustin in Edmunston at midnight. being very gladd we went for the mini-van.

Three friends sit in a small room (which may or
may not be on a space ship) waiting for their future to arrive. In the meantime they tell stories, sing songs, pass notes, and try to answer some questions. They are surprisingly optimistic, given the conditions outside, armed as they are
with cheerful pop songs and over a millennium worth of utopias. The compiling of lists, small and doomed attempts at creating utopia if only for a moment, dancing, lip syncs and quiet beauty all fill the space as our heroes pass some time in the company of an audience.
We gratefully acknowledge our tour partners: Khyber Centre for the Arts, Third Space Gallery, and The Canada Council for the Arts.
